"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."
---Theodore Roosevelt
Efforts were made to persuade her to go back but she never responded to any email from Vision Group´s human resource manager. Her program "Omuntu w`abantu" was later taken over by Robinah Sanyu Mweruka who also works as a news anchor of Agataliiko nfufu but she is yet to reach Bridget´s standards. Bridget had earlier complained that despite her program being one of the most popular on Bukedde TV, Robert Kabushenga was under paying her. This was her chance to look for greener pastures at the company´s expense. Many theories came up about her disappearance, some said she got a man and decided to settle into marriage in the USA, but this was never proved since no one knows the name of the said man and neither have we seen him. Now it has emerged that when President Museveni signed the Anti-Homosexuality law earlier this week, Namitala resurfaced on Facebook. This is one clue that she could be somewhere underground in a refugee camp after seeking asylum as a gay activist. She was not doing well until this law. The signing of the law was a sigh of relief to her in her endeavor to legalize her stay in USA as a gay activist. Meanwhile, another friend of Bridget who was also a Bukedde journalist Sarah Muwanga disappeared in one of the Scandinavian countries and she keeps changing her Facebook identity on a weekly basis. |
