Police officer, 4 gunmen killed in fierce fire exchange between attackers and UPDF

A fierce exchange between UPDF and unknown gunmen has left a police officer and four gunmen dead in Eastern Uganda District Kween.

The gunmen according to eye witnesses attacked a police post forcing UPDF to come in to help restore order.

The exchange was so tense according to eye witnesses. The gunmen suffered more casualties with four killed instantly.

The army arrested six and a handful escaped to neighbouring hideouts.

Police are yet to come out with an official statement about the killings, arrests and the motive of the attackers.
