{UAH} Deforestation in Kigezi and Ankole is a disaster

One time - I told a professor that what has been done in Kigezi (now
it is kigyezi) and Ankole region cutting down forests is a disaster.

To my surprise a full Uganda professor - asked me why I never wanted
forests not to be cut down and why the forests were important
anyway?!!!!!!!!!!!

I just kept quite - there was no further reason on my part, why I
should spend any effort reasoning this out.

Ten years later Isingiro is starving and when it rains, the hills of
Kigezi settle down in valleys. Uganda budget has been cut to
facilitate food aid in Uganda – the pearl of Afrika.
