{UAH} Mum of ISIS terrorist who killed priest: "He's not the monster. He's soft"

The Father of Manchester Arena Suicide Bomber Salman Ramadan Abedi says his son is "innocent" .Talking from Tripoli, he said: 'We don't believe in killing innocents. This is not us.'. This shocking claim by the father of this mass murderer reminds us of a similar claim by the mother of Abdelmalik Petitjean, 19,  the  Moroccan Muslim terrorist who stormed a catholic  church in Normandy with his accomplice  Adel Kermiche and forced 85-year-old Father Jacques Hamel to his knees before slitting his throat with a knife in front of nuns and worshippers. .Abdelmalik Petitjean's mother said "I didn't produce a devil" adding 'he's not the monster people want us to believe. He is Soft"

It makes my heart bleed the way Islam as a religion can turn some human beings into heartless monsters. Islam is an evil cult beyond the pale, and totally beyond redemption. It is the greatest curse facing humanity.

The mother of one of the sick ISIS militants who slit open a priest's throat during morning mass claims 'he's not a monster'.

Abdelmalik Petitjean, 19, stormed the church in Normandy with Adel Kermiche and forced 85-year-old Father Jacques Hamel to his knees before butchering him in front of nuns and worshippers.

Petitjean, who used the fighter name Abu Omar, was put on the terrorist watch list after trying to get to the ISIS caliphate in Syria via Turkey last month.

His mother Yamina Petitjean was shown a photograph of her son by France's terrorism unit UCLAT.

She told officers: "Yes, that's him. He's a good Frenchman. He's soft. I know my kid. I know by son. He's not implicated in any of this."

Yamina added: "He's not at all the monster that people want us to believe."

Speaking from her home Aix-le-Bain, she told BFM TV: "I didn't produce a devil. No, no it's impossible."

Police revealed that her son had been shot in the face repeatedly, and was so impossible to immediately identify and DNA confirmed who he was.

She said that she had spent the weekend with Petitjean at home in Aix-les-Bains, and she thought "he had gone to stay with a cousin" in Lorraine, another region of France.

The mother said that the last time she heard from Petitjean was when he sent a text early on Tuesday morning.

The security source said that DNA had in fact confirmed Petitjean as the man who helped murder Father Jacques on Tuesday morning.

A chilling video released by the Islamic State group's Amaq news agency yesterday, purportedly showing the two terrorists pledging their allegiance to the terrorist organisation.

In the disturbing footage, the 19-year-old fanatics express their support to the group's leader.

They say "we give Bayah (allegiance)" to Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi", who was elected leader of the organisation in 2014 and is considered a "global terrorist".

They also display a piece of paper, featuring the ISIS flag.

At the start of the video, one of the men - said to be Adel Kermiche - dressed in a camouflage jacket and a black hat, introduces himself in Arabic as Abu Jalil Al-Hanafi.

The other, believed to be Petitjean, sits on the floor next to him, wearing beige trousers, a hat and a red scarf over his head.

It was captured before the pair brutally slit the throat of Father Jacques Hamel, 85, after forcing him to kneel at a church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray.

During the horrific assault, the two knifeman stormed the church through a rear door during morning mass, before taking a number of hostages.

They then forced an elderly member of the congregation to film them butchering Father Hamel with a blade - as anti-terror cops surrounded the building.

The terrorists, who also made their captives kneel on the ground, were later shot dead after emerging into the courtyard outside shouting "Allahu Akbar".

In an act of cowardice, the pair used petrified nuns as human shields as they tried to escape the scene - but were swiftly gunned down by police marksmen.

Bomb squad officers then searched the church for possible booby-traps - as one of the victims was rushed to hospital 'between life and death'.

Another worshipper was less severely hurt in the attack.

The body of Father Hamel - who was ordained in 1958 - was found inside the church after the slaying.

It later emerged that the priest was an assistant at the church and only taking mass because the parish priest was away on holiday.

Resident Eulalie Garcia, who works in a beauty parlour next to the church, said Father Hamel was 'treasured' by all those who knew him.

She said: "My family has lived here for 35 years. He was someone who was treasured by the community."

The Islamic State quickly claimed responsibility for the priest's killing.

Malik was named as the second homegrown ISIS terrorist who carried out the brutal attack between 9.45am and 11am .

The killer lived in the town of Aix-les-Bains, in the French Alps, and was born in Saint-Die-des-Vosges, a town in the Vosges area of north-east France.

Judicial police from Lyon were today leading an investigation into Malik's background, while anti-terror police were carrying out raids around his hometown.

Worryingly, it was reported this evening that French intelligence officials were handed a picture of Malik just days before the church attack.

The officials were also warned of a serious threat, according to the French broadcaster.

Malik's accomplice, Kermiche, had previously been identified as one of the church attackers.

He had served prison time in both France and Switzerland - and was already being tracked by authorities after trying to travel to Syria to join ISIS.

The suspect, who is believed to have been recently radicalised, was on bail with an electronic tag at the time he murdered much-loved Father Hamel.

However, he was only subject to a curfew between 12.30pm and 8.30am - allowing him to carry out the grisly attack during morning mass.

Kemiche was also a known friend of Maxime Hauchard, a French jihadist who appeared in an ISIS execution video of U.S aid worker Peter Kassig.

Hauchard, who now goes by the name Abu Abdullah al-Faransi, regularly worshipped at a mosque in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray.He travelled to Syria in August 2013 and is still believed to be in the war-torn region.

During the attack, the elderly worshipper who was forced to film Father Hamel's execution was also stabbed in the neck, back and arms.

The man, known only as 'Guy', survived the assault by playing dead.

His distraught wife Jeanine, who witnessed her husband's stabbing, said the two ISIS beasts told her and three nuns that their lives would be spared.

But she revealed the evil pair told Father Hamel and her terrified husband that they "had to die".

Jeanine said the fanatics held guns to their backs as they watched the executions on the altar.
