As the world commemorates world press freedom day, a big number of members of Uganda Journalists Association (UJA) have spent the day Kampala central police station trying to rescue their colleagues from police detention.
7 journalists were arrested around Grand imperial Hotel by police under the orders of the UJA president Robert kagolo accusing them of holding an illegal parallel event.
Later Members of UJA converged at CPS Kampala in a big to demand the immediate release of their colleagues.
The current UJA _President Robert Kagolo is accused of failure to account for funds that were meant to organise the world press freedom day commemoration event and he has failed to availed the land title of the association.
Journalists were later released unconditional.
