'Vindicated' Diane Abbott celebrates as she wins biggest ever majority
Diane Abbott has won what is thought to be her biggest ever majority in Hackney North & Stoke Newington, getting 75 per cent of the vote.
Despite the Conservatives using her as somewhat of a bogeyman in their campaign materials, and her disastrous interviews during the campaign, she was hugely successful in her constituency.
She increased her majority by over 11,000 to over 35,000.

The politician gave a speech in which she said the "campaign has been defined by the politics of personal destruction.
"And yet the British people have looked past that, and in Hackney, they have supported our positive Labour campaign addressing the issues that concern people in Hackney.
"We formed a positive campaign here in Hackney and we have been vindicated.
"You know they said that if Labour fought this General Election on a progressive manifesto, we would be swept away by a Conservative landslide.
"They said that if we thought this General Election under the leadership of Jeremy Corbyn we would be annihalated.
"We have seen how the British people of all classes, ages, creeds and colours have rallied to the leadership of Jeremy Corbyn".
Diane Abbott has been unwell, and was removed from her post as Shadow Home Secretary because of this.
