Still, I need him to come out and explain the "Recreation Center with the world's biggest Hut" to be built on Kaunda Ground in Gulu. I suppose he knows it better. I need enlightment on how the land was acquired and how other alternative locations were not considered than this Public Park:

The UFA Chairman Aklim Odong issued a statement dissaasociating the UFA from Kamya when she was appointed to kayibanda's cabinet and soon became his mistress. Check the archives. He said at the time the UFA execitve would meet to decide the leadership of the organisation. He intimated he would stand for the presidency himself and even invited me to throw my hat into the ring, een though I am not a member of the the group. much less a federalist. But he has not reported back on any progress since- and it is over a year now. Probably Akim is engaged with personal matters here and does not have time to attend to the affairs of UFA.

By remaining silent for such a long time, I got the impression that Uganda Federal Alliance  (UFA) executive supported their president's decisions. Beti Kamya was appointed minister a year ago but until now, I never heard any comment about that appointment from the party executive or did I miss it?

The Minister of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Beti Olive Kamya is set to be impeached as the President of the Uganda Federal Alliance (UFA) Party in a process starting this Wednesday.

ChimpReports has exclusively learned that a high level meeting to be chaired by the UFA Acting Secretary General, Mr Kennedy Oluma will sit tomorrow morning over what they call "reckless" statements being made by the minister in "total disregard" of the party's position.

According to a source in the party, Kamya's recent comments in support of the removal of the age limit from the Constitution and saying President Museveni is more intelligent than the whole Cabinet combined, angered and embarrassed members who now want her to be excommunicated from the top leadership position.

"We can't contain the new behavior of our President any more. We need a swift action and she must go," the source said.

When contacted on phone, Mr Oluma confirmed the development saying Kamya individually joined the NRM government and that UFA party doesn't agree with her position on the age limit.

"Hon. Kamya joined the government as an individual. Our party stands for federal ideology and there has never been any single plan of alliance with NRM," Oluma said.

"UFA is against the constitutional amendment  aimed at scrapping the age limit. She's supporting it as person and we denounce all her statements as party leaders."

Oluma added that after a high level meeting of selected party leaders tomorrow, the National Executive Committee will immediately convene to expedite the impeachment process.

"Our retreat on Wednesday is to assess and come out with a quick and comprehensive decision. The retreat shall be followed by NEC anytime," he added, emphasizing that UFA is independent from the ruling party.

"Many people wrongly perceive that we have been conscripted to NRM. We don't go by the bedroom agreement; Beti is acting on her own behalf."

Kamya left the biggest opposition party, FDC and formed UFA in 2010.

She stood for president on UFA ticket in 2011 and came 5th with 52,782 votes that was equivalent of 0.6 percent of the total outcome.

In the 2016 elections she stood for Rubaga North but lost to Moses Kasibante.

On 6 June 2016, President Museveni appointed Kamya as the Minister in charge of KCCA affairs.
