{UAH} Did Iddi Amin fight in WW11

I'm still reading Sam Njuba's book, the Betrayal, and he mentions some stuff about the former President, Amin, that could make anybody uncomfortable. 

Njuba clearly didn't like Amin at all.  He calls him a murderer, illiterate and liar (who was very good at making up stories). He says that he never fought in world war 11 yet I read a book 7 years ago that mentioned him, Ben Kiwanuka, and a few others, as among the few Ugandans that participated in that war. Obviously, there are conflicting reports on what his exact role was.

Any body with a different view on this?
