Ghana that was at the same level of devt with Uganda in 1991, has Successfully Launched A Satellite Into Space - Brilliant
Ghana's satellite dubbed Ghansat-1 was successfully launched into the orbit at an altitude of 420km today, Friday July 7, 2017. The successful launch of the satellite has put Ghana in a category of its own - the first country in Sub-Saharan Africa to launch a satellite into space. This development should pave the way for Ghana to explore the benefit of satellite technology.
The satellite was built by Students of All Nations University College in Koforidua, Ghana. Onboard the satellite are low and high resolution cameras capable of taking pictures of Ghana. This exercise will provide data on Ghana's environment.
