{UAH} LOOK: Maute gunmen laughing, relaxing between clashes in Marawi

Marawi is a muslim majority city located in the Philippines island of Mindanao. It has a population of 250,000, of whom 50,000 are christians. Two months ago Islamist militants linked to ISIS attacked and occupied the city and have since been violently rersiting Philippines government forces attempts to lift the siege they imposed on the city and end the occupation. In the meantime, the Muslim militants have expelled all 50,000 christian residents, most of whom have fled to the nearby Christian dominated city called Iligan.  Iligan City has been my home since I was expelled from Uganda in 1986. There is a  big humanitarian catastrophe in Iligan right now, and the national newspaper below is making an appeal for help, to relieve the suffering of the refugees, a majority of whom are children.
