SV: {UAH} The US State Department is considering ending its support for the spread of democracy worldwide - but what does that mean for Africa?

Okello,
I am much obliged but, as a Swedish African or African Swede, the values President Trump anchores to and ours is like day and night.

Ask him to comment on the brother who was granted land and a mule. Perhaps there I shall get a lead out.

I just don't understand your President one bit.
I preferr to take each case separately. Different countries have different democracy needs, so att säga..

Sudans need may not be the same as Ugandas or Gambia's, for examplew.

George Okello The USA has never supported democracy in Africa. It has supported client states a great majority of them fascist tyrannies that terrorised their peoples. A classic example of such client state is that of Yoseri Kayibanda Museveni in Uganda which acts as the USA policeman in the region but has committed the worst genocide in recorded history, amounting to no less than 14 million victims in the Great Lakes region. Donald Trump is just stating the obvious- that nobody believes the lie that America has ever been engaged in spreading democracy. America has been engaged in spreading terror, human suffering and imperial control of Africa's resources. Period.

What type of system are we talking about if we are not trying to return back to thesame system that made some of us to be traded as slaves? Africa should stop blaming America and see our own leaders as our worst enemies. Majority of African leaders are not Africans

Emmanuel M Aremo Stop in support for democracy could undermine US leadership in the world, would also affect US foreign interests based on its values and principles of freedom. Best bet would be for US to establish democracies which have shared values and principles, that way the US can still maintain influence and lead.
