On 5th June a coalition led by Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt, launched a diplomatic and economic blockade on Qatar and imposed sanctions on the country.

In an unprecedented move, the blockade has also imposed restrictions that prevent the Qatari people from their right to worship.

Pilgrimage (Hajj) is the most important act of worship and one of the five pillars of Islam that over 2 million Muslims take part in every year. To use pilgrimage as a tool against the people in Qatar is a gross violation of their fundamental human right to practice their religion.

‏Therefore we invite you to stand with us and the the people of Qatar to demand the Saudi government not go through these unprecedented measures and lift the restrictions imposed on people of Qatar who wish to pilgrim this year.
