In a twist of events, the war veteran after handing himself over to police at Katwe Police station, Gwanga was whisked to Makindye military barracks, the headquarters of Uganda military police.

In a heated interrogation, officers from the army and Criminal Investigation unit squeezed the battle hardened soldier who stuck to his guns, maintaining that his actions were meant to ward land grabbers off his daughter's land, something father could have done
