Unless the influx into our rural areas and regional urban centres are earmarked for a particular cadre of foreign workers, the Chinese are coming to COLONIZE us after the Europeans' Partition of Africa!
I remember argueing with WBK that the Chinese Loans and the 2 EuroBonds were bringing the country to its knees economically (whilst he claimed almost to the extent that 'no development without loans....') as the said loans were not based on sound wealth creation pillars; rather were tools of plunder for the few connected and in power and foreigners!
Ocen and Pojim did support most of the assertions/examples (Addis SGR longer distance and two gauges and cheaper and with a fabricating factory for heavy machinery parts & training institute in Addis), and evidence of Kilindini Port used as collateral for the SGR and inflated tonnage and passenger numbers just to wood-wink the press and wananchi....!
Chinese contracts in Kalenjin areas are the most inflated, and I heard the Eldoret governor on this past Sunday the Chinese to "marry locals" and you know what next: .... obviously points to citizenship!
The IGP Boinet met the Chinese delegation while the K Railways locals are protesting of racism treatment by the Chinese and this has not gone down well with majority Kenyans!

I think Senator Mutula Kilonzo had really asked a very important question. Sometime last two years ago I was in Gulu in Northern Uganda where I saw some Chinese were working like casual labourers on the Road Construction site. Later I saw several of them working in a shopping mal in Kampala and, they do not even speak any English but they keep on following a person who is collecting something to buy.
Unfortunately, Uganda government do not have any policy to control such bad practices which give unemployments to our young people. Why and what are the MPs in Uganda and, or Kenya doing to stop it?
