The Interpol police is carrying on investigations in which a Ugandan artiste only identified as Roy Kapale is reported to have been hanged in China for drug trafficking.
Speaking to Capital FM, Interpol Police Officer Hassan Kasingye said that police is still trying to get more information regards the hanging of Roy Kapale. Hassan added that China has reported many cases Ugandans being arrested for drug trafficking.
Roy Kapale is said to have not been staying in Uganda for a while. His fame rose after his hit songs Ebitala Bbintadde and Mukyala Neighbour.
This case follows one of singer Iryn Namubiru who was detained last month for drug trafficking in Japan but later released after she pleaded innocent.
Drug trafficking in China and other countries including Japan is punishable by death/hanging.
