[UAH] FW: [angbayan_updates_English] CPP congratulates NPA for seizing 14 firearms from police forces

FYI

Reaction of the Communist Party to Aquino government's claims that the peoples army ambushed unarmed police trainees. The fact is the peoples army was very humane in not killing these 100 police trainees that they over-powered and disarmed. They put little resistance and scampered away even though they were being attacked by a unit of less than 20 peoples army combatants. The peoples army will not kill soldiers or policemen  they have disarmed or captured in battle. That is a cardinal rule. And the peoples army will give immediate medical assistance to enemy soldiers wounded in battle. As I mentioned before, the National Democratic Front has a medical service that is far superior to the government medical service. This is totally different from the actions of the Philippines government and army which routinely kills any member of the peoples army they capture and disappears hundreds of those they suspect are symphasisers.

CPP congratulates NPA for seizing 14 firearms from police forces

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) today congratulated the Red fighters of the New People's Army (NPA) for successfully carrying out an ambush yesterday morning against armed police forces of the Regional Public Safety Battalion who were conducting a counter-guerrilla training in Tadian, Mt. Province. Initial reports indicate that the NPA Red fighters were able to seize at least 14 high-powered rifles.

The tactical offensive was carried out swiftly and precisely by the Red fighters of the NPA's Leonardo Pacsi Command against 100 police trainees and their armed security personnel while on bivuoac going to Barangay Abatan, Bauko, Mt. Province. The PNP-RPSB forces engaged in a firefight where a police officer was killed.

The RPSB is a special unit of the PNP that is being expanded and trained to carry out operations against the New People's Army and the people's revolutionary forces. "The RPSB is among the forces being employed by the Aquino regime in carrying out its brutal Oplan Bayanihan war of suppression," said the CPP.

"The NPA carried out a tactical offensive against the RPSB as part of its continuing effort to defend the democratic interests of the Filipino people against the fascist attacks of the Aquino regime's armed and police forces," said the CPP.

The CPP chided the Vice President Jejomar Binay and Interior Secretary Mar Roxas for "issuing premature and baseless condemnation of the NPA on the wrong assumption that the police forces were unarmed and helpless. Binay and Roxas, both hungry for media attention, tried to outdo each other in issuing belicose statements against the NPA even without first getting their facts straight."

"The ambushed PNP-RPSB forces were armed, capable of fighting and in fact, put up a fight, although a number of them scampered away after being surprised by the NPA ambush. Local police officers make twisted claims that the PNP-RPSB forces and their trainees were "technically" unarmed because their rifles were without bullets," said the CPP.

"The simple fact is the RPSB failed big-time in their intelligence and operations, while the NPA exhibited superiority in terms of knowledge of the terrain and support of the people resulting in a lopsided battle. Having completely subdued the enemy, the NPA Red fighters proceeded to disarm the police forces in accordance with international humanitarian law and the laws of war."

"Under the advise of its media managers, Aquino's military and police officials automatically and blindly categorize as civilians or engaged in civic activity any and all of its armed personnel who are engaged by the NPA in an attempt to obscure the brutalities of its fascist armed forces, police and paramilitary units and conceal the justness of the armed actions of the New People's Army," pointed out the CPP.

"The Aquino regime, however, cannot muffle the clamor of the Filipino people for the New People's Army to carry out tactical offensives against the reactionary armed forces and armed police personnel who serve the interests of the big landlords, big mining companies, plantations who oppress the people and subject them to increasingly intolerable forms of exploitation," said the CPP.

"The CPP urges all units of the NPA to launch more frequent and bigger tactical offensives against the reactionary armed agents of the reactionary and puppet Aquino regime in consonance with waging the revolutionary land reform movement and boldly expanding the Party and the people's revolutionary mass organizations."
