Parliament- Gen Moses Ali , the Second Deputy Prime Minister yesterday lost his cool and almost punched Ndorwa West MP Wilfred Niwagaba after Kyadondo East MP Ibrahim Ssemuju Nganda addressed him as a former Finance Minister in Iddi Amin's government.

Tempers flared as lawmakers were debating the supplementary budget request in which the government is asking for an additional Shs46.9billion to pay salaries for teachers, health workers and other public servants.

Trouble started after the Third Deputy Prime Minister lost his cool and attempted to push Mr Niwagaba and blocked him from accessing the microphone adjacent to the dispatch table to make his contribution on the supplementary budget criticized by members as ludicrous.

Although Gen Ali was holding the floor, Mr Niwagaba wanted to raise a point of order after retired general told the House that Cabinet approved the supplementary and therefore, the House should pass it.

But as Mr Niwagaba tried to access the microphone, he was pushed by a visibly angry Gen. Ali , plunging the House into chaos with members across the political divide raising points of order. Gen Ali  was infuriated by the scornful comments that was made by Mr Ssemuju.

Realising that the House had degenerated into confusion, Speaker Rebecca Kadaga was forced to adjourn the House prematurely and fled the chamber.
