[UAH] General Sejjusa needs to come clean first

General Sejjusa (Tinyefuza) has a right to contest any public office in Uganda but he needs to meet the prerequisites first.

1.     As someone who was deeply and strategically involved in guerrilla activities in the Luwero Triangle from the start and who played a major role in decision making there he needs to tell the public the atrocities committed by NRA in the area. Why and who decided to push one million Baganda into the forest apparently for protection and how they were protected against the national army.

2.     There were 1.5 million people in Luwero Triangle in the 1980 census. At the end of the war some 700,000 lost their lives. Many of those who survived did not return to Luwero Triangle, meaning that half the population reclaimed their properties including land. Who occupies the second half including 9000 square miles and forests NRM had promised to return to the owners.

3.     The money and materials that were donated to help Baganda resettle never got to the target people: some of it disappeared in Kampala. How did this happen and who helped themselves?

4.     Many Baganda senior military officers were eliminated during the guerilla war and others disappeared after the war in ways that need to be explained. Hopefully Sejjusa can shed some light in this regard.

5.     General Sejjusa played a major role in the Northern and Eastern war that left many people dead and others thrown into camps. How much does he know?

6.     Until he fled into exile, Sejjusa was a senior security officer, meaning that he was taking decisions that have violated Ugandans' human rights and fundamental freedoms. This could be a major constraint for Sejjusa especially if it turns out that his decisions or actions could have contributed to commitment of what is turning out to be genocide in time of peace and in time of war in Uganda.

7.     This is the first set of questions that the General should answer.
