Ugandans suffering as M7 and Statehouse ask for another shs.120b to supplement their budget

''GOOD MORNING , have a blessed martyrs day.THESE ARE FACTS: Details have emerged that State House spent 128 bn in excess this financial year and now requests Parliament to approve a supplementary bugdet for the same and that this money was got as a result of trespassing on the Ministry of Health Bugdet. Meanwhile all referral hospitals including Mulago National referral hospital have run out of blood. Medical officer have revealed that there is no single blood unit available to give patients in critical condition and they have said that this is the worst blood shortage there has ever been. The fact is that there is thousands of units of blood in the Blood Bank but the Country run out of TESTING KITS. According to Medical officers, it costs $80 which is about 200,000/= to process one unit of blood. Blood is not just got from a donor and transfused into the body of a recipient. It has to be processed first and this is what Uganda cannot afford. A referral hospital on average needs about 50 units that costes 10,000,000/= to process, to run a safe week. Officers at the Health Ministry pinned the lack of money on funding gaps which caused the Uganda Blood Transfusion Service to run short of funds to process blood. ARE YOU AWARE THAT THE NEXT PATIENT WHO MAY NEED BLOOD MIGHT BE YOU??''
