As a critical thinker, I have another side I want to throw into this thread. For a very long time The National Resistance Movement has stated that Ugandans in diaspora are of a great value to the country, and that is true for we actually remit more money into Uganda economy than all exports out of Uganda. They have appointed people to be responsible for those of us in diaspora, and Ugandans in diaspora as always have embraced The Movement government with no plan B. But the Movement government has had its purpose very clear, it  needs a very good grip on Ugandans in diaspora and they got it. Through Dr Muniini Mulera we handed them UNAA an organization that was supposed to be of a greater value to all of us in North America, and it was laid to a total waste as it is today. UNAA is not a total waste only but its agenda is ran by Uganda government to a point that if UNAA creates a convention agenda it can only be implemented if accepted and stamped by State House. UNAA is owned by The Movement to a point that State House sends them funding, from money collected from my mother as tax.

 

Now after Museveni knew that he had got a good grip on the Ugandans in diaspora, now that he knows that Ugandans especially in United States have got him the best senators he so need, Museveni has become the original Museveni I know from Luwero, he never keep a permanent friend. When you look closely at this budget, it targeted the very people he has always claimed to be of great value to Uganda, and he is going after them in an amazing way, you see the Ugandans with able means have been investing into Uganda, but there is a whole whack of poor Ugandans in both United States and Canada that leave from check to a firkin check, those are the very ones he wanted to target at this budget, for they send money home and they call Uganda. This budget is looking at every single Ugandan in diaspora and it is going to affect you. When you think on all advice we have hipped to Ugandans about this government, and on how it has no permanent friend, I love Museveni for he has ended up biting you in your hinnies !!!!!!

 

Now go to the next UNAA convention, Mumutikire ebinnyo.                       Geez !!!!!!

Let us assume the Internet is not involved in your call. So, when you initiate a call by cellphone or a landline, you have to go through a local carrier to transfer your call. This carrier charges you through your calling card or your phone company which go into your billing. At the other end the carrier also charges a termination fee to access the one you are calling. This is where the Uganda government can add a tax to that termination fee, and your calling card will soon be having fewer minutes because the calling card company passes the charges on to you, the caller. In effect, the Uganda government is taxing you guys. This is easy money for the government as consumption (number of calls) will not change much. I hope this helps, and I am sure you know ways to bypass all the nonsense.
