{UAH} Do You Want To Stay Alive and Out of Jail or Those you Love

In the wake of rising domestic violence cases and murders in the Diaspora,m we need to address these issues. Today it is someone else, tomorrow it may be you. Today it is somebody's daughter, tomorrow it may be yours.

  • Very sad indeed!! Domestic violence is real and on the rise! In the Diaspora people tussle it out silently until such happen! Always seek help.
  • My condolences. I would not have written this on the condolences page on Facebook but this is the best forum for people to pay attention.
  • 1. Always share with trustworthy people. Don't shy away from Churches, especially those already established and have a good reputation. Ask the Ministers, Pastors and church Elders to help you.
  • 2.Also in the communities we live in, God has given different people, young and old, gifts to help with marital problems and issues, seek them out. Don't hide in your apartment or house and tussle it out. (By the way, things erupt out of the homes as you struggle and people just gossip or look on helplessly)!
  • 3. In days gone, when things in the home were so hot, to avoid such scenarios, the wife would go home or to her brother's "Muko" or "Ssenga" until the anger, pain and bitterness would fade. And these issues would be looked into. Osanga ba Jjajjaffe baali bali ku kino, "Tosala gwa Kawala nga tonnawulira gwa Kalenzi."
  • 4. Money may have played a role as well.
  • 5. In the traditional society, there are sanctuaries in the home. If the wife went at the back of the cooking oven, emabega wekyooto, the husband would not cross. Create sanctuaries in your homes where one can go and avoid "revenge". And don't follow your loved one there. Sleep on it. God provided sanctuary cities in the Bible so the Avenger could not revenge by killing.
  • 6. Women, caution my sisters, make sure that the man you live with, whether married or not, in USA some states have named them husbands or community if you live together for more than six months. make sure that some of your relatives especially your male relatives know this man you share a life with. If they are far, adopt "brothers" in the community you live in who are trustworthy.
  • 7. Our Brothers, learn to help your sisters in the Diaspora. Adopt them as sisters and care for them as you would your own sisters. Don't manipulate them! God will reward you well.

    1 Peter 3:8
"To sum up, let all be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit;..."

Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9)
