{UAH} Gen Caleb Akandwanaho is Back in Luweero

It has taken twenty-seven years for Museveni to rediscover Luweero and the pitiful conditions people live in. A whole generation is lost making this a double whammy for the poor people: First they lost dear ones in the war, and again have lost young ones and the old after the war through sheer neglect, to put it mildly and at worst by the gross and organized kleptocracy by Museveni family of the recourses meant for poverty 'alleviation'. I wonder whose poverty, Museveni and his clique or the people? Many were those whose hopes were dashed of getting out of poverty through education as did Museveni; many succumbed to treatable diseases for luck of medical care for not a hospital was built in those twenty-seven years; and yet others simply drowned out their misery by the deadening effect of very crude waragi for they couldn't afford even a cheap bear on the market. The Luweero Heroes, these indigent souls who survived the bullets in the bush, have died by the numbers clutching a lethal crude waragi bottle. As is his wont, it is always someone else to blame for all that happens or don't happen in Uganda.

This is a man who immensely enjoys the trappings of power such as multi-million dollar jets, limousines, and palaces, but arbores the responsibility that goes with the office!  President Truman adage adopted by many a mature leader: "The Buck Stops Here", is alien to him.

If the hospitals don't have supplies because he preferred to buy MIG because where there is a 50% cut for the family, it is the hapless Minister of Health who is to blame; if the roads that are surfaced wash away within three months because the materials were substandard and that half the budget allocation went to line the pockets of the family through the minister as conduit, it is the lazy people who don't want to work. We can list all the myriad channels through which state resources have been used for personal benefit of Museveni family and cronies till dawn, and still we will have not enough time to exhaust the crafty way Uganda has been fleeced by the foreign junta.

Akandwanaho aka Salim Saleh is on the road again to the coffers; Ugandans better wakeup quick.
