Toro Queen Mother Steals Show At Miss Uganda Show

The Miss Uganda pageant was not only about beauty but also royalty.

The Toro Kingdom Queen Best Kemigisha was one of the celebrities that graced the Miss Uganda finals at Serena Hotel in Kampala on Saturday night.

Despite the night's cold weather, Queen Kemigisa managed to appear for the full house event.

The queen is well known to be a big fan of fashion considering she earlier this year participated in a catwalk at the Industrial area based Club silk.

Her face beamed with joy as the contestants displayed their bodies. She kept on sipping on her wine.

She keenly followed the event and later posed for photos with the contest's winner.

The crown was taken by the 22-year-old Stella Natumbwe who managed to prevail through the stiff competition from other 21 other beauties.

Natumbwe was handed a luxurious brand new Mercedes Benz A-Class car as one of the privileges of being Miss Uganda, and will be receiving Ushs1.5m as a monthly allowance for an entire year.

The first runner up was Anita Kyarimpa, 18, a Senior Six Leaver from Kabala district who was also the crowd's favourite, and Sarah Amongin from Eastern Uganda emerged second runner-up.
