[UAH] Plenty of food in Uganda but not many can afford to buy it.

Plenty of food in Uganda but not many can afford to buy it....... All these grow below ground. Recently in Uganda there has been a very serious out break of disease in CASSAVA called BROWN STREAK. As the name implies the inside of cassava becomes blighted with virus and looks brown in colour.

2.Ugandans were first introduced to the modern supermarket world in November 2000 when Shoprite opened its first store, Shoprite Clock Tower, in Kampala.
STORE LIST:
Currently Shoprite Group has two stores in Uganda:
• Clocktower in Kampala
• Lugogo in Kampala--

I happened to be in Kampala during the opening ceremony of the first shoprite (clocktower).Still remember the look of amazement on the local peoples faces at the choice of all goods available under one roof.Just like walking into Tesco.....but in Kampala! at the time everything was from S.Africa.
