{UAH} UAH's Gen. Kayihura has not been feeling well for the last three days, and he rescheduled all his meetings

A false and annoying story has appeared in today's Red Pepper of Friday, 26 July 2013 titled "Kayihura: No more partying for Police Officers".
The story claims that the Inspector General of Police, Gen. Kale Kayihura has issued warrant of arrest for Junior Police Officers found in luxurious places because that is where they extort bribes. The story further alleges that Police management gave food rations to Officers because they do not need money. This is either a mischief by some evil minds in Red Pepper or somebody with other ill motives.
The Inspector General of Police has not done any such thing as they suggest or said what they claim he said.
It is an outrageous, false, and insensitive story.

Gen. Kayihura has not been feeling well for the last three days, and he rescheduled all his meetings. He was supposed to chair the Police Advisory Committee on Wednesday but he delegated his deputy. He was supposed to attend Parliament on Thursday; he again delegated his deputy Mr. Okoth Ochola. So, Gen. Kayihura has not held any meeting for the last three days.

We are demanding an apology from Red Pepper, otherwise the law will take its course.
We are calling upon Police Officers and members of the public to ignore the story.
We encourage our officers to continue with their good work and we are confident that before Monday, 29 July 2013, the problem of salary will be solved.
