{UAH} THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TSIVANGIRAI AND EM REASONING THIS SUNDAY

After the election in Zimbabwe, one would expect this kind of response from the opposition.

 

Ladies and gentlemen we have just ended the election, Zimbabweans have talked and we have listened, they have elected a government and we will respect that decision. We are going to go back and we are going to look very hard in our party to figure out where we have failed to sell the message of the party to the people and we will change that. Although we have not got enough MPs elected we are going to use the ones that have been elected to work both in and out of the parliament to reestablish the party and to get ready for the coming election. I am taking this opportunity to congratulate President Robert Mugabe, who has clearly been able to sell his party better to the people than we have sold ours. And we are going to do everything we possibly can to work with the president and his government to build our country to the success it should be, because the election is  about Zimbabwe and not personal achievement.  With this statement I want to inform my party leadership that with the results of this election, I have decided to resign as a leader of MDC and as an MP, and I am going to remain as a party leader only till when the party is able to elect a new leadership to  replace me. The reason I have decided to resign is because the new leader needs to get enough time to rebrand the party and get it ready for the next election.

 

Again congratulation Mr. president at your winning of the last election, for God and our country.

President Tsvangirai’s statement to the press after the MDC national council meeting, Harare, 3 August 2013

The MDC National Council met today and debated extensively on the election held on 31 July 2013.

The National Council resolved:
1. The MDC totally rejects the 31 July elections on the basis of the process the absence of reforms

2. From the evidence available, discounting all omissions and commissions the MDC won that election

3. The MDC thanks and acknowledges the AU and SADC missions in this regard at their request will submit a dossier of all the irregularities and illegalities

4. The fraudulent and stolen election has plunged Zimbabwe into a Constitutional, political and economic crisis. In this regard, the MDC expects that the SADC and AU shall meet urgently to deal with this crisis in order to restore Constitutional, political and legal legitimacy in the country

5. The MDC calls for a forensic audit of the electoral process in particular the voters roll, the ballot papers and where they were printed, the special vote, voter displacement, voter registration certificates

6. Further, the MDC national council resolved that the SADC Organ Troika must investigate the role of the security sector and the militarization of the election

7. The MDC national council noted with great concern the frog-marching and captivity and oppression of the rural population through the abuse of traditional leaders and the high incidents of assisted voters

8. Given the illegality of this election, the MDC national council resolved that it will not legitimize institutions created by an illegal election and therefore will not engage in institutions of government

9. The MDC is determined to pursue peaceful, legal, political, constitutional and diplomatic remedies to resolve the current crisis

10. The MDC national council resolved that once all remedies have been exhausted, the people of Zimbabwe should be allowed a fresh opportunity to freely and fairly elect a government of their choice. In this regard, a credible, free, fair and legitimate election must be held as soon as possible

 

I think you get the general idea of why we fail to grow democratically, everything wrong is outside MDC everything inside MDC is perfect it is only those people out there that make the party fail and loose the election, and trust me MDC is going to come back selling the very same stupid message of blacks have no right to own the land and redistribution of land was criminal for Mugabe gave it to his cronies that are not Zimbabweans,  and we must reverse that redistribution so that blacks  go back to work for the white true owners of our land. You see when the whites owned the land we had an enormous supply of food and we were even exporting it. Elect us so that we can remove you from the land. And you simply shake your firkin head at the stupidity in MDC and Africa opposition at large to no end.
