{UAH} MUTIMA CLAN MONOPOLIZEZ MMENGO.

Buganda has 56 recognised clans but there are some more that seek recognition. If the Kabakas are matrilineal, in order to avoid a monopoly of a clan over the kabakaship or dynastism, what about the office of Katikkiro, which is for commoners, and the clan leaders, who are also hereditary rulers and who share traditional and cultural leadership with the Kabaka?
It is out of that, that l humbly suggest that it is risky for the Katikkiro and the leader of the council of clan leaders to be of the same clan, Mutima, whether one is of or under Omutaka Kakeeto nmaugera at Bbaale in Buddu under the other is Omutima Omusaagi. For we know that one elder, the late, had committend, incest, and invfluenced the Kabaka to create, Omutima Omusaagi clan for his wife's family.
Either the Kabaka retain Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga and sacks the head of the Bataka Council, or ge retains the controversial convener of the Bataka Council (The Kabaka himself is the Ssaabataka and substantive chairperson of Bataka Council) and sacks Charles Peter Mayiga.
I have no ill feeling against Omutima clan, for they are my relatives, as from Kabaka Junju's reign up to 1925, a section of my kinsmen from Kateregga luguma at Bukakkata Buddu, had undergone persecution and hid themselves in mutima clan and we got Mutima names like Kasajja. Others went to Mpologoma and Ngabi clans and some have not yet returned.
But for the good of Buganda and since Mayiga has just been appointed, Omutaka Nakirembeka Allan Waliggo, should be told to cal it quits.
