{UAH} YK-M7 A revolutionist that belittled himself on becoming President

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vWAdY0uZvA

The story begins with what our grand fathers called....Omumizi n'omuwuwutanyi,
You will notice in this video that where double standards have been applied m7 will throw it to back his party, but its a public secret that m7 himself is NRM and when he leaves us nrm will be no more as the model of nrm will have been exhausted by its own bad governance. No one will want to own nrm's grave mistakes after m7.

FDC is probably the replica we have of nrm.
FDC is probably what nrm would look like without m7. People are trying to digest that what if FDC wins the elections and indeed we have an FDC president, wont we have another overstay in power as m7 has done? or should we just look at removing m7 and ask later if an overstay is eminent? You will agree with me that m7 has his personal stuff he wants implemented away from the party's positions as he will tell that his party is the majority, but the majority of the party decided that we shall not have a serving army person as a minister to involve himself/herself in party politics, but m7 begged to defer that some folks like Aronda Nyakairima should be approved without the agreed upon position of resigning. M7 had to arm twist his party as he called them to the state house to look as if its a party position in the short run, that still looks like bribery. I think this was personal even when it took the chairman questionably so long to realize that it was so wrong for JeJe Odongo to resign before he took the position of a partisan cadre minister. This is a manifestation of backwardness politics exercised by m7 the revolutionist and the party chickened in for such party killer positions. Such positions killed UPC and we will probably never see UPC in the state house in Ugandan politics for quite a long time.

Revolutionists should hand over to Politicians
Most probably politicians would understand politics more than the self proclaimed revolutionists. I think after m7 Ugandans needs to be governed by Politicians rather tan revolutionists. An example of Iran, Iran was taken over by the Islamic cleric revolutionists in 1979 and handed over power to the people who vote their own politicians while the clerics are there to endorse the people's will while they themselves took over the position as that of the Queen of England. Recently Ahmadinejad was voted out and another is in, while the clerics are on their job of guiding their nation and eating the fruits of their long lived revolution, in Uganda as soon as m7 leaves the bad deeds will overshadow the revolution. I suppose, had he handed over power to the people as the Iranian revolutionists, he would have gone down in history as a visionary but he is involved in battles that he has failed to win and probably will never win. Was it wealth or power hungry that prompted m7 to consume the animal he had hunted? The Iranians tell us that the supreme leader is quite very rich, I am yet to find out whether m7 is as rich as any of the four remaining clerics after Ayatollah Khomeini died. Does m7 have the honor as those clerics or the supreme leader of Iran Ali Khomenei, this Ali succeeded Khomein a sign that the revolution is working into a good succession that nrm is fast loosing?

Revolutionarists gowing down badly
Ghadafi's story is still fresh and his children are lesser than an ordinary Libyan. I fear for m7's position. Lets just imagine if Ghadafi had stayed out of being the president of Libya and handed over power to the politicians he would be alive today and his children ready to succeed him as a supreme leader of the nation. Libya would be far better than it is today with his guidance rather than his interference. Revolutionists never want to leave power if they choose to be the presidents, they keep shifting goal posts and promise things that they themselves know will never happen under their leadership. Our examples are Ghadafi and m7. I have talked to Libyans and describe him as a bad man who almost owned every thing in Libya. M7's position is just as good as where Ghadafi was before he left the Libyans alone, m7's time is just not up yet

Being president is a smaller vision on a revolutionist
When m7 said that the problem for African president is to overstay in power, I say that was a revolutionist right there by then. But he made a mistake to declare himself the president. One should want change for the better of the nation if he was indeed a revolutionist, but if a revolutionist becomes president there are so many things he/she does not want to change for example, terms should not expire, age should stay stagnant, opposition should join the ruling party at all costs, anybody who opposes the ruling party should be teargassed or dealt with no kid gloves and before long he/she has become a dictator that he/she never wanted to be.

M7 has found himself in the same position as Obote of the UPC party
After trying to overstay in power m7 has now to rig election at all times. A position that he says took him to the bush. On this one I am on his side if he had to stay in power he had to rig the elections after he had categorically failed to convince the majority over his style of governance and corruption that had never been seen before in the history of Uganda. Its also true that if elections were held in good faith DP would have won because nothing much had changed since m7's revolutionary faction took power, it actually looked like a mere change of guards, in fact some people thought he was going to hand over power to Paul Ssemwogerere since he was the one robbed of the votes, or at least return to federal system of governance,if not why shouldn't we have had elections without m7 standing . Its true some people do not see M7 as rigging elections, but it still depends on which side you are watching the idea of stealing votes. At the moment the nrm government also known as m7 does not know how they/he have made it past the finishing line into 27 years without any one succeeding with the bush tactic. It is beginning to look pathetic in both politics and the real meaning of a revolutionary.

The question is how does now m7 exit
After realizing that revolutionists are not good presidents, the litmus test put on m7 himself as a case study, should we call this a mistake that m7 jumped into the idea of becoming president and never borrowed the idea of Iran clerics or did he consider the legacy of nrm or was it all about m7 himself? the party is taking a bad beating. The talk of the Muhoozi project kicked in when such questions are asked. Should m7 kick out the old army guards or keep talking about elections to fix the succession problem? change of presidents that most Ugandans know are not genuine. How should the revolutionist and the revolutionary be kept alive as that of Iran without mincing with cheap politics that deters good change, selective prosecution on corruption at large and a smooth change of government? Is Terehe sita enough or nrm day 26th January? Hero's day was dismissed by the people after it became a upc ceremony, people did not believe Obote was a hero apart from the self claimed hero that he was. How is the safe landing handled without chaos?

With such a powerful first lady JKM who needs Muhoozi?
The first lady by herself can become president, she is quite powerful and capable of  a short jump from first lady, minister, MP, business woman into the first woman president without breaking a sweat.  She is well liked by women and Christians across the board or lets say the whole nine yards. The only problem for Uganda, she is not exempted of corruption herself, she is almost mentioned at the receiving end in every major corruption racket in the nrm govt, the advantage is probably she may not need any financing from any one rather than her own collection accumulated over the years, Her tactical intelligence CTL/VAT sqaud has done a good job on spotting all those helping themselves on govt coffers and she names her price depending on the catch. I highly recommend the squad, it levies a tax, CTL or lets say VAT that is received in good faith, no whistle blowing is encouraged or you risk a Mike Mukula verdict in Luzira prison. She is also good at recommending placements, a kick back or tip is highly appreciated, but it has to come every month. As a Bible student the first lady will expect it every month as also Allen Kagina of URA is a member of first daughters Church, 10% is received by cheque in order not to mince evidence. If she ever decides to stand for the highest office, no doubt the funds are put to good use as the Bible says in invetments that are very well known to those who matter, they are hidden in plain site, but since the assets fall into the untouchables, mafia category, probably a tip of the iceberg that Prof Bukenya has been warning Uganda about. Apart from that, she is considered clean as a whistle but not as clean with the so many whistle blowers in case things go south. Most probably in a leisure mode, she can challenge any one to name the richest woman in Uganda.

What is the way forward for Uganda?
1. Corruption should be taken care of, try the... Ghana way of Rawlings. Ghana has the best Democracy in Africa
2. Free and fair Elections, one man one vote. The short version of it forced m7 into the bush war of 1986, He is now the President of Uganda
3. Restore term limits, its the Jewel of a meaningful change that stabilizes a good governance.
4. No more revolutionary wars by warring factions, The best party should win elections but not by the barrel of the gun
5. Create jobs, Eliminate talks of queues by the army, security for all people
6. Mature politics, Accountability should be enforced.
7. Embrace all Ugandans, we are not yet in Heaven so lets tolerate & respect each other.
7. Federal states are needed, no body knows how people operate other than those who hail from that particular region

In America politicians campaign as e.g Iowans from Iowa, Texans from Texas, Californians from california and so on before they become the United States of America. Together they become legislators of the entire nation and according to the needs pertaining their regions. These are federal states, not issues like where almost 70% of government positions come  from one region just because the president comes from there.
