Considering that since Africa's political independence in the early 50s to mid 2000s  with the latest being Zimbabwe no election on the continent has ever  been declared fair and just, is it necessary to carry on with these elections? Behind these fraudulent elections the opposition parties which are always the losers hide their own incompetence, the inability to offer a better vision to the people even if the government they are fighting has been blind for more than two decades, Uganda is a case in point. Museveni has been blindly leading Uganda for 25 years and yet in the eyes of the people he remains a better devil..or one eyed among the blind.

In politics and leadership personality matters. When you look and Changarai, the main opposition leader, honestly, compared with Mugabe even in his aged body and senile mind, he is a better motivator than his rival who to me looks like a piece of mvule tree that is being ravaged by red ants in the jungles of Bulawayo.

This is the third time he has stood against Mugabe and the only result he comes out with at the end of the day is simple, the election has been rigged and this time he has already declared it null and void being the electoral commission has said a word...

This is my recommendation: (1) Since both governments and opposition leaders are incompetent and visionless when it comes to elections, there should never be elections, or if they are to be held at all
(2) they should be held in the open, in a football field where voter line up, walk to the booth carrying a ballot saying I am voting for Museveni or Besigye, or in this case for Otunnu, none of this nonsense "Secret ballot". Those at the desk should carry a thick file in which voters are recorded by numbers starting from one to the last one who votes. With these numbers, it can be declared right there and then saying Museveni has got 8 million votes, Besigye 10 and Otunny 15 million or the other way round. With this there is no electoral commission, no court challenges afterwards..Secret ballot is a Western concept which Africans have been unable to comprehend and will never do. Their concept of voting was in an open place under the biggest tree on the compound of a village chief or mukungu and what Baganda call owomuluka..."Akwata mpola atuka wala banange" (One step at a time takes you a distance), Africans have raced too quickly to implement this so-called Greek secret ballot concept thing without even speaking a single Greek word..."bugubugu si muliro" (rushing is not fire), if you do, you could end up burning yourself. This is what Africa has done burning itself.."byebyo banange"
