"Did Mr Kibuule attend Kyankwanzi? I would not be surprised if he is a
graduate of that august institution. Ofwono Opondo was at one time the
deputy director, and I think Tony Owana also taught there. Nobody
should be surprised therefore when Mr Kibuule puts in action what he
was taught.

BACK TO 1981

An issue of the Democratic Party mouthpiece, 'THE CITIZEN', shortly before it was banned by the UPC government in 1981 published an interesting story.

It was about a youthful cabinet minister from eastern Uganda, who had participated actively in the fight against Idi Amin's regime.

He was stealing sex from the wife of a powerful person residing in the flats once opposite Nile Mansion, (where Imperial Royal Hotel is today), when the powerful man turned up.

The young minister (perhaps Hon Kibuule's age at the time) sustained a heavy beating until his training reminded him to escape via the balcony. The balcony was, sadly, not on the ground floor and the young minister sustained further injuries in addition to the severe mauling.

He was in bed for some weeks because his facial features had been altered by the beating, but he mended soon enough to resume duty.

I wonder whether this minister (1981-1985) was also trained by Opondo and Owana at NALI Kyankwanzi under NRM from 1986 to the present day!!!!
