{UAH} EXTERNAL WINGS and DIASPORANS

I salute the Forumist who gave us ink on the great contribution made by the External Wing during the bush war.

However, in the case of at least two guerrilla groups, senior external wing members ate money meant for badly needed supplies. One reportedly converted a donation of ranger boots into cash and 'liberated himself' from poverty.

Another senior politician rejected a planeload of arms and drugs from a sympathetic western country, for which the field commanders of his group will never forgive him...

I salute all those who struggle EXTERNALLY but the struggle is always INTERNAL.

I have also read something elsewhere which suggests that UNAA is an organisation of Ugandans who fled their country and should therefore not entertain participants from the government which they fled.

If this is true, then Museveni's Uganda is the only country where those who fled their government in fear of their lives freely, regularly and openly visit the deadly country and return to exile, year in year out!

I want to think of UNAA as of Ugandans in the USA, but I could be wrong...
