Parents should really be cautious about what is said in front (or even just in hearing distance).  If only for the mere fact that children are little recording devices, and most of what they take in, is repeated to their teachers.

I thought I'd share the most hilarious essay I have ever read, written by a grade three student (the topic was : "Things that upset me")

I don't like when Mommy and Daddy fight.  They fought last night, but it was so dumb.  They had a fight about cats.  We don't even have a cat.  I don't even want a cat, I want a dog.  I don't know why my dad wants cats.  I was confused, but daddy said he wants six, and if he doesn't get it he'll find the pussy somewhere else!

My mommy yelled that she's tired and not in the mood for six.  I don't know why daddy wants six, I just want one dog.

(ps I just fixed a little of the spelling errors). So parents please beware, I have seen these parents at school, and now I know that mommy doesn't give daddy enough "cats" and he's going to start looking elsewhere if it doesn't change!
