{UAH} Rwot Awich of Payira in 1904.
Rwot Awich of Payira in 1904. His arrest was one of the reasons that led to the fiercest rebellion against colonialism in Africa - The Lamogi Rebellion. The killing of Captain Turner turned the tides against the Acholi because the British upped their game and became more brutal in their approach to the war. Acholi suffered heavily as a result. Capt Turner's remains were returned to the British government around 1995 by Museveni.
