Telemedicine Conference in California

#Home Page, le 08 Avril à 11:40:44

Like anything else, Telemedicine has transcended its growing pains and is coming into its own. Now is an opportune time to review what has happened, what is happening today and what will happen tomorrow.

October 11 to 14, 2013, California

The review will focus on major Telemedicine applications that have been deployed locally, nationally or internationally.  We'll examine successes stories and lessons learned from the perspective of their local, national, regional and international contexts.

To lend focus to our discussions, we will examine case studies of several important projects in Sub-Saharan Africa.  In addition, the conference will develop recommendations for those projects as well as new initiatives.

Sub-Saharan Projects:

      • Focus on key health priorities
      • Identify obstacles & key challenges
      • Examine how low cost smart phone tech might address the gaps

 Schedule:

      • Day 1: Survey the general state of Telemedicine
      • Day 2: Sub-Saharan Africa case studies
      • Day 3: Break-out sessions on specific projects

 Our goal:

      •  Road map for new initiatives targeting high priority African needs

 Who Should Attend:

      • African Telemedicine project leaders/teams
      • African health care leaders
      • Telemedicine professionals
      • Smart Phone Tech experts
      • Device providers & manufacturers

Special presentations will include champions of health initiatives in Africa and leading experts in relevant technologies.
