{UAH} Lukwago becomes the only elected mayor in Ugandan history to ever be impeached?

Friends,
I'm trying my best to control my emotions on this Erias Lukwago impeachment but I think president Museveni has gone too far. If he can remove an elected official because it wasn't his choice but a people's choice, what makes people think that he( president Museveni) would agree to hand over power in case he loses a presidential election? As a matter of fact, what makes people think that he will ever allow anybody to beat him in an election? As a matter of personal integrity, one cannot pick and choose which elements of democracy to respect, have meaning and which do not. A politician who connives to remove elected officials from office cannot be trusted and thus must be summarily and constitutionally removed.

I've been telling people for years that your joke of a president would keep doing things that would make anybody as mad as 'slapping' a certain Frank Tumwebaze(not that anyone is going to slap him). Now he hasn't disappointed! In his mind, he thinks he has gotten revenge over Lukwago and the opposition but he has instead woken up so many sleeping giants. He never owns up to mistakes and he is the type of person that will blame a tree for running into his car."It just came right at me while I was dodging it!"

Imagine: 50 years from now school kids will be reading how this joker from Rwakitura or wherever, occupied his time plotting the fall of a people's elected mayor (rather than working on the people's business). They'll read about how Lukwago was pursued for years by an obsessed cabal of NRM officials, police officers,.......all financed by a dictator-billionaire- president, who finally managed to find a pretext to impeach a people's choice. It will be presented as an object lesson of both the weakness of our Constitution and the dangers of giving too much power to the presidency.

Lukwago becomes the only elected mayor in Ugandan history to ever be impeached by a group of people that are all controlled by statehouse. That will be what the history books record. I know that Lukwago is going to make himself busy with courts of law but I believe nothing will change with this type of govt.

Now that I have ventilated all that out, let me take 70p and go buy a cheap drink. I'm also looking for someone that can rent me a brain that hasn't got any pictures of Mr. Frank Tumwebaze, Mrs.Jeniifer Musisi, Mr.Museveni, Hon.Bamugemereire, Bamwine and the 29 Councillors- just for the next 24 hours! Bite that my dedicated NRM friends! Must make you very proud to have supported this loser in 2011 elections!
