{UAH} URA INTERCEPTS CONTAINER WITH GUNS, BULLETS

Simple calculation, imagine that these people were importing good thrice a months and every importation, three guns are inserted in the container, meaning in one year, they will have imported 108 guns, in just five years in operation they will have 504 guns safely hidden somewhere around the country!

 

 

Uganda's tax body, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) on Tuesday night intercepted a container with hidden guns and bullets.

The container belongs to Global Paper Ltd and was in custody at Nakawa, Kampala as the authority carries out further checks.

They were concealed in items that were declared as personal effects from China destined to Uganda.

The 3 guns and 400 rounds of ammunition are be handed over to Police for further investigations.
