It was indeed a year that redefined citizen engagement and power amidst a narrowing operating landscape. In 2014, let us extend our campaigns to d fight for equitable pay for civil servants across d board. Examine d reason why Prosecutors in IGG's office shd earn three tyms than their colleagues in DPP's office, yet the latter handles 16times the work the former does. That's just a case in point but reflect on the general disparity of pay in civil service.
To the police: Kale Kayihura- thanks for engaging us on UAH. There are some good cops in Uganda and let me pick a few.
1. The OC CIID Kireka police station. He is not corrupt. he is very professional, jovial, and social. Katwe and old kla, needs total overhaul
2. There is this Kirumira guy when you listen to him talk he should be heading PSU to make sure that police personnel do not act irrationally even when in crowd control. He has very good ideas of how police should be acting in times of crisis such that every party comes out contented unlike Ruhweza who prides in quelling riots by dishing tear gas canisters in kindergartens
