{UAH} Does the former ambassador give more special advice than others?

And why did the President's advisors advise him to pay Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Duties, Klaus E.P Holderbaum three times more than the other 99 advisors. Maybe, now we need a Senior President Advisor on Presidential Advisors' wages.

While the rest of advisors earn between Shs 2.3m to Shs 3m per month excluding other entitlements such as a vehicle, a driver, armed escort and an office, it is not clear why Holderbaum (the former German Ambassador to Uganda from 1999 to 2003 who opted to permanently stay here) earns Shs 7m.

Does the former ambassador give more special advice than others?

It cannot be because of his former job, equally there are former ambassadors on the list but are not earning that much.

It can't be because of age, there are others in the same age bracket.

Neither can be because of his academic qualification as we have even professors on the list.

Nor, can it be because of his advisory title - Senior Pres/Special Duties, as Amos Amis Makumbi, Dorothy Samali and Chris Rwakasisi hold the same title.

Annually, the wage bill translates to Shs 2.7bn or Shs 230m per month for the president's 100 advisors.
