{UAH} Does He Know Your Name

Who knew? That Jimmy Swaggart could come back to ministry and even stronger? He was the first televangelist we watched on Uganda TV. We were so inspired and learned many songs from his great singing ministry. He could lead worship and praise songs as well as prayer and repentance songs. When he was caught in sin, we were so disappointed! Then caught again! We could not believe it! The very same sexual sin he had bantered Baker so much! Ha had lived in sin secretly. Swaggart was put on leave from the pulpit for some time. He was humble enough to accept. After listening to him and watching him on You Tube, I see a sinner who has triumphed over sin in the Name of Jesus. I am also encouraged and I applaud his family that stood by him through it all.

Same as I always applaud Hillary Clinton by forgiving her husband Bill and moving on. They are  stronger family now since then. I also applaud the people of God and ministers, pastors, elders, deacons, ordained and laity who stood by them in the storm of life.

We are made stronger when we conquer sin and temptation. We are made stronger when we fall and rise up in victory. We are made stronger when we acknowledge sin, repent and ask for God's forgiveness. For we cannot make it alone. We don't even have the strength to stand up to temptation and sin. It is only Jesus Christ who did not sin yet conquered sin and Death by rising up from the dead on the third day and taking with Him the keys of Hell.
I am so humbled. My Faith is even stronger. There is no sin that God can't forgive, done in secret or in public.

I am looking forward to meeting Bro. Jimmy Swaggart in Heaven on that day when God says,
"Well done, my son, my daughter."

Let us give God a chance to shine in our darkness. To triumph in our defeats, for the battle is not ours, but the victory is ours.

2 Chronicles 2:15
"Listen, all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: thus says the Lord to you, (put your name) 'Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God's.

Rev. Jessica

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.

Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9)
