Norman Lakayana I was born in that very hospital all those donkey years [1960s] but in my time every ward at the hospital teemed with smart nurses and doctors about and the floor were well polished and many of my family relatives and kinsfolks from all over Lango made their journeys to come and get prompt and proper treatment and some spent time in our home in Lira, yes that is my fondest memories of Lira Hospital; which was one of the vestiges of colonial times.May GOD himself help or uphold Uganda or what is left of it.Amen.- Norman Lakayana Desensitizing human sufferings is the main stuff of comfort for the privileged few in Uganda today; for they can afford to jet their loved ones abroad, for even minor ailments yes that is the reality of a country, I once knew and called home and I dare any regime apologist on this link to say otherwise!!!!

Adoch Juliet really there are few midwives n they really cant handle them all yet salaries are payed the same with other nurses, yet they work twenty four hours. gov should luk into this matter seriously.
