{UAH} South-Sudan-gov-and-rebels-sign-ceasefire

The two warring sides have signed a ceasfire that goes into effect in 24 hours. That's a good start; a better way forward is to deny Riek Machar an opportunity to serve in the same government that he's fighting.

 

However, best option that will lead to a long-lasting peace for South Sudan is for Machar to form his own party and face President Kiir at the ballot.
