Putin is a formidable opponent of the Yankees!
Despite of how he is often portrayed , he is enormously popularly among the youth and those with Russian pride but has nothing to do with the old soviet. That is where it gets tricky for the west. Russia is enormously endowed with natural resource that Putin has allowed a section of Russians to access with impunity. It can go alone without EU . I don't see EU going alone without Russia. The Yankees have too much mudomo tu.
Putin is one hell of a man.
