{UAH} Market and Pasture Distribution
Is there any study that has ever been conducted privately or by any institution; government or academic to explain the distribution of villages in an African setting (Uganda)? I need to understand if village markets distribution has a pattern. Will villages wait for their turn instead of walking a distance to go and do purchasing in a different market other than that which is near them? Further still it would be interesting to know how cattle keepers estimate the distance from home to pastures
Such knowledge could be, MAY be transposed on the formation of districts and creating new towns and in the establishment of given thresholds i.e. number of teachers , special doctors, farmers, police men etc., need in each region instead of the randomness. It will also make economic sense, won’t it?
