SV: {UAH} Mulago Personel on strike and patients dying
Mr Godfrey Nsubuga,
Perhaps you could offer oss an outline chronology of events ( demand, negoriation / dialogue or failure and who carried it out) for the past week before the strike broke out?
That would give us some insight on the procedures.
I guess before the strike broke loose, the hospital staff through their unions tabled their demand and called for a strike to commence at a later date if negotiations failed?
And do they have support strikes at some other hospitals too?

I have been to Mulago this after noon and learnt from the hospital that INTERNS and Pharmacist went on strike from Friday evening and the diabetics ward has had the biggest number casualties/deaths since the strike. I was also told that the hospital lost 2 female doctors while giving birth on ward 5 in the last one month. I was told that some MPs and govt officials were there this afternoon as well but am not sure they have gotten the true picture. One man who was brought in with his body all swollen was turned away because there no doctors up that side near the cancer side.Mr. Katerega the journalist are following the story is it true these are happening?
