"After Museveni got intelligence briefs that Amamas people had approached Kadaga and proposed that she accepts to be JPAMs running mate and become VP. M7 was disturbed by the development and called Kadaga. She admitted having been approached but that she had rejected the proposal. She agreed to work with M7 on two conditions: 1) that M7 should prevail against anyone to contest against her in NRM primaries so that she sails thru unopposed 2) That she would retain the Speakership. M7 accepted both conditions. They agreed that she would now resume her parliamentary outreach programs all over the country which had been abandoned after M7 intelligence indicated that she was using them to mobilize for her presidential bid. Under the new deal Kadaga will intensify visits to constituencies and fundraise for MPs. The thrust is to amplify government programs and achievements of the NRM and show that there is harmony in the party and government. If asked whether she is standing, she will ask the NRM MP to explain the Kyankwanzi resolution. 1 billion has been set aside for these marathon tours to begin in June. It is hoped that at the end of it all Amama Mbabazi will be off the front pages. M7 will appear more with Kadaga at public functions."
