SV: {UAH} UGANDA: RIGHTS AT RISK IN NEW MINING REGION, SAYS HRW

Okeya GWOKTO and UAH folks,
FIRST, not very long ago I wrote the following piece herewith attached regarding the dubious appointment of Betty BIGOMBE to be one of the top person at the World Bank. Now we can see how the Human Right Watch is telling us that the World Bank is one of the leading body that is trying hard to conceal the destruction of the rights of the Koramojong folks.
SECOND, I think, the World Bank, IMF and, or the Donor countries had planned to use Betty BIGOMBE to conceal the genocide against the indigenous folks in the whole Northern and Eastern Uganda as was done by the European Settlers in North America against the Red Indians at the turn of the last century! The appointment of Betty BIGOMBE is just a smoke-screen and a complete Cannon fodder for genocide against our folks!

Acoli folks and fellow Ugandans: the appointment of BIGOMBE is a political tragedy for AMURU and the whole Acoli,
To me, and many Acoli folks whose kin and kith had been used as human shields during the infamous NRA/M7 regime's operations in Acoliland whereby civilians were armed by bow and arrows to face the rebels in the early 1990s, we feel this appointment means concealment of genocide in Acoliland and the whole northern Uganda.
YES, this, I think is yet another cynical tricks by the US through its Bretton Woods system to conceal the genocide committed by the NRA/M7 regime and this appointment means they could do anything against AMURU folks as it happened against the MAYA folks - Red Indians in North America at the turn of the last century!
This means ACOLI folks must be ready to face the annihilation since the Western World under the yoke of America so-called 'Only World Supper Power' makes it see the current international world politics according on its own sync!
We are seeing, how they are trying to push Russia and its President PUTIN in the name of protecting Ukraine when they do not give a damn about the occupation of large junk of territory in Argentina by the British. The Americans are quite arrogant as far as their interests are concern. Look how they have continued to occupy Okinawa in Japan whereby the Japanese in Okinawa had continued to demonstrate without any end inside.
In Europe, they accepted the East and West Germany to unite meanwhile in South and North Korea, the Americans had continued to build wall of land-mind that had continued to divide the same folks! What an absurd political postures? Or look in Palestine, whereby the Americans had continued to divide the Palestinian folks without any kind of political journey forward!

UGANDA: RIGHTS AT RISK IN NEW MINING REGION, SAYS HRW

Uganda's nascent mining industry could do more harm than good for indigenous people unless the government makes reforms and mining companies start respecting rights, Human Rights Watch said in a report released today. Uganda's government has promoted private investment in mining in the remote northeastern Karamoja region to bring economic development, but should implement reforms to respect the rights of indigenous people to determine how their lands are used.
The 140-page report, "'How Can We Survive Here?' The Impact of Mining on Human Rights in Karamoja, Uganda," examines the conduct of three companies in different stages of the mining process: East African Mining, Jan Mangal, and DAO Uganda. Human Rights Watch found that companies have explored for minerals and actively mined on lands owned and occupied by Karamoja's indigenous people. But the Ugandan government, in partnership with the private sector, has excluded customary land owners from making decisions about the development of their own lands and has proceeded without their consent. Human Rights Watch also found that donors, including the World Bank, have failed the people of Karamoja by working to enhance the burgeoning mining sector without addressing indigenous people's rights, including the right to development.
"Mining development could be a real boon to the people of Karamoja, bringing jobs and better security, services, and basic infrastructure," said Daniel Bekele, Africa director. "However it is still unclear how the people of Karamoja will benefit, if at all, from mining, or how the government intends to protect their rights during this process."
