{UAH} Asking for some info on international freight shipping and forwarding

 

Community Members.

 

In preparation for the Trade and Investments Forum at the upcoming UNAA convention in San Diego (Hyatt Regency Hotel La Jolla), I would like to solicit some information from professionals who deal in international freight and transportation. 

 

Most specifically, I am seeking information on the processes (licensing, clearing, etc.) and costs associated with the transportation (by all possible means - ship and air) of products such as coffee (bulk) and others like handicrafts and furniture.  I am also hoping to receive information on other aspects such as minimum/maximum/optimum  sizes of shipments, weight, transportation times, limitations, etc.

 

This would be transportation from Kampala or Jinja to a few US ports like Los Angeles, Houston and New York and vice versa.
