Partnering with Sister Cultural Associations The theme of this year's UNAA Convention is "Unity through Cultural Awareness." As the oldest and largest organization of Ugandans in the Diaspora, UNAA relies on the strength of its members and sister cultural organizations. We would like to take this opportunity to highlight the activities of another of these organizations and its associative relationship with UNAA. Ggwanga Mujje (Boston Chapter) The Mission of Ggwanga Mujje Boston Chapter, Inc. is to encourage, help and inspire its members to sustain, promote and develop the Heritage of Obuganda. Ggwanga Mujje (Boston) in association with other Baganda in the Diaspora have embarked on a mission to mobilize funds to enable the Kabaka Foundation (a duly registered NGO in Uganda) to purchase a mobile van clinic to help improve the delivery of health services in the Kingdom on Buganda. The UNAA President and other members of UNAA leadership attended a Ggwanga Mujje (Boston) fundraising event in April 2014 and committed a donation of $500.00 towards this effort. ------------------------- UNAA is very actively engaging community partners and has created a page to showcase the work of these organizations.
