{UAH} King Oyo Survives Accident, Guards Perish

At least two Tooro Royal guards have died in a car crash at Mubende National Teachers' College along the Fort Portal Kampala road.Four others were critically injured and rushed to Mulago hospital.

DPC Mubende Enock Mbaine confirmed the tragic incident, saying the driver of the vehicle in which the two guards were traveling hit a tree as he tried to avoid knocking a reckless boda boda boda rider.

The deceased have been only identified as Alex and Herbert.

“The two royal guards died on the spot and their bodies were taken to Mubende hospital,” said Mbaine.

The accident occurred at around 4:45pm on Sunday as the king traveled to Kampala.

Mbaine clarified that the king was survived the accident.

The incident occurred just a few days after King Oyo ended his one week of fasting at his palace where he prayed for peace and development.
