Please be advised that the group which has propagated itself by the name "UNAA causes" is not in any way directly or indirectly, in part or in whole, by extension or otherwise, affiliated with the one and only 26 year old, legitimate and Massachusetts registered, Ugandan North American Association (UNAA).
All meetings, discussion forums, religious functions, gourmet meals and the engaging entertainment organized for the 26th Annual UNAA convention (August 29th to August 31st) will be held at the Hyatt La Jolla Hotel and only this hotel. The trip to the popular dinner cruise on Saturday August 30th 2014, will also depart ONLY from the Hyatt La Jolla hotel. Accommodation is provided at both the Hyatt La Jolla and the Sheraton La Jolla hotels
Only those persons who have registered and effected payments to UNAA through the avenues and the responsible persons outlined online at
www.unaa.org will be granted access to the Convention facility and events. UNAA will not account for or accept any liability for any payments made to any other entity purporting to be a fringe offshoot of UNAA e.g "UNAA causes".
The UNAA National Executive has not authorized any elected or unelected UNAA Official to speak for, be part of, or to consort with any such fringe offshoot. Such activity violates UNAA's bylaws, causes divisions and UNAA's Executive strongly advises UNAA Members and the general public to exercise a high degree of caution and healthy skepticism when engaging such individuals.
UNAA's enduring legacy in hosting and organizing a successful convention will be on full display at the Hyatt La Jolla Hotel. It is only UNAA which is properly registered as a legal entity. It is only UNAA which has clearly identified elected leaders who are accountable to UNAA's members. It is only UNAA which has made public its financial records and tax returns. It is only UNAA which will host the 26th Annual Convention at the Hyatt La Jolla.
Ever so often, individuals with unprincipled objectives will attempt to emulate UNAA's success and defraud some unfortunate people into paying them for services equal to those that UNAA delivers with baited promises of doing so at below market costs. Invariably these attempts always fail with disastrous financial consequences for the organizers and unfortunately members of the unsuspecting public.

info@UNAA.org if you, a friend or family member may have fallen prey to "UNAA causes" or any other fringe offshoot. While the UNAA Executive cannot guarantee success an attempt will be made to seek a full refund using appropriate but private channels.
